July 16, 2015

Snow fell continuously for perhaps 12 hours overnight. By the next morning (July 17) it was reported to be the heaviest falls across the Central Tablelands of NSW (AU) in half a century. After almost three years of hoping to see snow here the wish came true.

The first morning: this is the first time I've experienced powdery snow, and definitely a first for the dogs.

The fourth day: this is more like what I know as "snow", shallow crusty wet ice.

We got some snow falling for about an hour and my patio table snow guage showed approximately 1 to 1.5 cm, just enough for the dogs to have some fun, most of whom had not seen snow before.
